Political signs are showing up in every corner of town. To combat illegally placed signs during election season, the City performs random sweeps to pick up the offenders, then notifies each campaign of how many were confiscated. They are typically looking for signs placed in the public right of way, or “ROW”.

Candidates who are backed by The Encinitas Firefighters Association or the Deputy Sheriff’s Association have no control over the placement of signs posted by the associations.
